Design of Solar RBF Project in Myanmar

SiNERGi supported the IFC Lighting Myanmar programme in designing a pilot project for results-based-financing (RBF) for solar products. Based on an assessment of Myanmar’s regulatory and policy framework, the maturity of its solar market, and the financing sector, key market barriers were identified and addressed with a results based subsidy mechanism. Outputs include an operations manual detailing processes and procedures and a package of templates and worktools for project implementation.
