Needs Assessments for Technology Transfer in Six Countries

SiNERGi conducted a needs assessment for the transfer of renewable energy technologies among companies and market organisations in three African countries (Rwanda, Uganda, and Ethiopia) and three Asian countries (Pakistan, Vietnam, and Afghanistan). The objective of the assessment was to identify existing barriers to technology transfer, and to discuss possible measures to support an improved technology transfer with key actors in the field. The focus was on how to facilitate information- and knowledge-transfer, for which SiNERGi developed suggestions for a web-based Interface for Renewable Energy Technology Exchange (RETEX).
